Million-dollar home sales in Texas have surged by 10% over the past year, reaching the second-highest level ever recorded, according to a new report from Texas Realtors. From November 2023 to October 2024, 12,888 luxury homes were sold, generating a massive $21.4 billion in sales. The busiest month was May 2024, with nearly 1,580 sales, while January was the slowest, with just 610 transactions.

Dallas-Fort Worth led the market, accounting for 38.7% of all Texas luxury home sales with nearly 5,000 homes sold, totaling $8.5 billion. The average luxury home in Dallas is 4,212 sq. ft., with a price of $394 per sq. ft. Houston and Austin followed, with $5.7 billion and $4.1 billion in sales, respectively.

Experts say the boom is driven by rising home values and prime locations, pushing more properties into the million-dollar range. From sleek modern estates to historic homes, luxury real estate in Texas is hotter than ever.
